Exclusively yours for the duration of your wedding, we encourage couples to stay for a minimum of two days, enabling you to relax into the glorious surroundings of Pentillie Castle, making your wedding even more memorable.
Your stay will be entirely private so you can make the most of the spectacular setting, extensive gardens, and views across the river which provides spectacular photo opportunities.
We can help you to arrange as much or as little of your wedding as you like - let your imagination loose and we will help you! Choose from our hand-picked list of local suppliers and caterers, chosen because of the excellent level of style, service and quality they provide.
From candlelit dinners in the bathing hut to setting off on honeymoon on a boat from our jetty, we are happy to work with your ideas to create a magical day.
Pentillie Castle is licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships in 4 different locations, both inside, and also outside under the loggia.
The rooms vary in size, from the morning room which would suit an intimate ceremony of 20, to the loggia where up to 200 guests can witness your ceremony.
The dining room can seat a maximum of 64 for your wedding breakfast so larger weddings will require a marquee.
If you have booked the castle for the entire weekend, we make no extra charge for you to hold your ceremony at Pentillie Castle, although you do need to organise and pay the registrar separately.
We can provide up to 80 chairs for the ceremony, and can arrange for the chairs to be covered if desired.
If you are looking to have your ceremony only at Pentillie Castle, with your reception elsewhere, this can be accommodated on weekdays and within 3 months of the chosen date subject to availability.
There are plenty of ways of holding the wedding reception of your dreams at Pentillie. Whether you opt for a marquee reception, or a smaller reception in the dining room, we are on hand to ensure that your day runs just as you imagine.
The terraces are enormously popular for receptions drinks and canapés, while a croquet match on the lawn could be the perfect activity for a more informal reception.
The dining rooms seats 64 guests for a wedding breakfast, and we can accommodate an extra 36 guests for the evening entertainment.
For numbers greater than 64, a small marquee attached to the loggia can seat 80 for your wedding breakfast, while a large marquee on the tennis lawn could seat up to 250 guests with plenty of space for dancing and a reception area.
There are undoubtedly a myriad ways of holding a wedding reception at Pentillie Castle that we have yet to think of, so by all means ask and we will do all we can to help create the day of your dreams.

We are able to offer many other activities for you to enjoy during your stay here, whether it is clay pigeon shooting, falconry, a boat trip or cream tea in the bathing hut; ask us for more ideas.
