This beautiful Cornish home of the Molesworth St Aubyn family offers an infinite variety of options for both ceremonies and receptions large and small, from intimate family gatherings to grand celebrations.
Inside the house, our civil weddings and partnerships license covers the Music Room, the Library Entrance, Drawing Room, Dining Room and Ante Room, photos of which you will find on our website or in the guide book.
In addition, there is the Old Servants’ Hall which leads out onto the sheltered tearoom courtyard and children’s area complete with slate-hung Wendy house, family pets and play equipment.
The Peacock Café itself with its remarkable vaulted ceiling is also licensed for ceremonies.
We believe our wonderfully romantic wisteria-clad arbour on the East Lawn to be a unique setting for outside weddings, with its gracious sweep up to the house and specimen conifers beyond.
Because the perfect English summer has the occasional damp day, we automatically provide the wet weather alternative in the house itself, as long as guest numbers can be accommodated.
We will also help with the service of celebration drinks and canapés if required.
The choice for the location of the ceremony and reception will probably be influenced by the time of year and the numbers attending and because everyone’s wedding is so special to them, we allow you to design your own day and make your own arrangements with caterers, marquee hire companies and so forth.
You may already have your own preferred suppliers but to help you, we can provide contact numbers for a whole range of businesses who have worked here to both our own and our clients’ satisfaction.
